A+ Mac n cheese , F in service

Brought my toddler here for dinner early one evening after we had been out and about riding the city buses and having adventure day. This place specializes in mac and cheese, so I thought it would be a great fit for us both. Upon entering, the hostess / waitress who greeted us had us waiting for about ten minutes to be seated even though there were a few open booths available. Stroller and all, she had us standing off to the side scrunched up, as she informed us that there was no seating, and that our stroller would have to go in the back some where out of sight. We finally settled in to a little nook in the back of the restaurant, with our stroller right beside us. I told her that I would like to put my daughter’s order in first since she was starving and I was mainly concerned with feeding her first. The young lady takes our order. We ordered two noodle dishes and a salad. A half hour goes by, and I check in with her on my order. Meanwhile I am seeing food flying out of the kitchen, serving tables that have even arrived after us. Our waitress brings over my salad first. I ask where is my daughter’s child sized order of mac and cheese. She looks at me incredulous. She runs off, I assume to put the order in, but doesn’t let me know how long her food would be. Another waitress intervenes at this point, telling me that the first waitress didn’t know that I was ordering for my child. I am shocked and saddened that my baby now has to wait even longer when they should have fed her first; a long time ago.

 

Then MY mac and cheese arrives, apparently, she never put my daughter’s order in, even after me asking for a second time, waiting for 45 minutes, and getting another person involved. It is now an hour later from when we arrived, they are now serving my hungry child. The first waitress vehemently ignores us, and does not apologize for it taking a full hour to feed a child, even though the first two mishaps were all her doing. She manages to avoid me for the rest of our time in the restaurant, as she can tell that we are not having a great dining experience, and that she is the reason. But we are black, so she shrugs us off, and hurries off to cater to their mostly all white clientele.
