Had Sunday brunch here once with a family member. We were warmly greeted the moment we arrived. This restaurant is a hip little spot in downtown Long Beach, so we sat on the patio to enjoy the weather and scenery. The food came out pretty fast (for a packed restaurant) and what we ordered tasted better than we expected. My cousin dined on the farm egg Cali scramble and I tried the brunch power bowl. We were blown away by the high quality freshness, the locally sourced ingredients, and the delicious flavors of both dishes. And we were surprisingly impressed with how thoughtful and attentive our server was. The whole meal was a win for the team and I highly encourage anyone traveling through Long Beach to visit James Republic for their great food, jovial environment and lovely service; they will make you feel welcome.
