Ensarro Ethiopian, ahead of the game!

Most flavorful Ethiopian food in all of Oakland and the whole East Bay, hands down. I have tried several other places, locally, with the same cuisine and they have been good, but Ensarro’s miles ahead; their food is great! On top of all that, they offer gluten free injera for those of us needing other alternatives. I stopped in here recently to order take out and they actually remembered me from 7yrs when I used to dine in more frequently. I was surprised considering I’d had a ‘mommy make-over’, and looked completely different than the last time I had been there. I had already planned to give them a great review based on my years of great food and excellent customer service in this place, but after the host welcomed me back so warmly this last time, I knew I needed to include them in one of my top rated restaurants for people of color to visit when looking for places to eat in the east bay. You will be treated very well at Ensarro’s and their family cook will not disappoint you no matter what dish you decide to try. I have tried every thing on their menu at one point in time. Back in the day when I ate meat, I absolutely LOVED their savory, Ethiopian spiced, minced beef stew called Bozena Shiro. It came with some Kik Alicha; yellow pigeon peas
