I come here when I am in the mood for a really tasty veggie burger, the Impossible Burger to be exact. Umami Burger makes them the #BEST. hands down. I have tried these vegan patties all over town, and this place does them justice! Umami has fresh french fries, which my daughter prioritizes because frozen fries just won’t do. Their beef patties are grade A, and they even have the nerve to have a whole salad menu. You guys know about me and salads, but I haven’t even tried Umami’s because the vegan patty be calling my name so loud, I haven’t been open to anything else on the menu.
Their staff seems to be young college kids, who have been very thoughtful and sweet to me, every time I go. Always tip well, especially when it’s the youth taking great care of you; at least that’s what I do. I love Umami Burger for when those burger cravings hit. They are consistent, the restaurant is always clean and the staff is always working hard to make sure that every one there has their needs met. I have sat here observing all of their magic in action so I definitely want to highlight this very special, modern burger joint in downtown Oakland. Check them out y’all.
