Dining While Black is the brainchild of a foodie, black woman, mother, social scientist, family advocate, political activist and educator; who is married to a white man and felt the need to document her varied experiences of ‘dining while black’. ‘Sometimes, the quality of service can differ greatly, depending on where I am dining, and whether I am dining alone or not. This is my way to make My dollars count.’ Table side racism is real, so for me, accountability is everything.
